What’s the legacy you’re attempting to fight for?The legacy F.O.M is fighting for is self identity and breaking generational chains. The cycle of sexual trauma, bondage, and exploitation will end with this generation.

What are some things happening in this world concerning the people you want to help?Due to lack of prevention awareness, more young women/men are falling victim to the dark world of human trafficking. More youth in this time are questioning their identity which causes them to be vulnerable, want attention and acceptance from their peers and others.

What do you believe the women within “For Our Mothers” deserve to know?They are fearfully and wonderfully made. They are empowered individuals who are were made for a purpose to complete in life. For Our Mothers will be vessel to help assist with healing and restoration process as well as encourage and motivate teens to understand who they are, what their purpose is in life, and how their purpose can help others.

Why are you feeling a strong need to stand now?Our society is currently in a climate where teenagers are experiencing increased bullying, identity issues, and homelessness. All of these factors makes individuals more vulnerable to traffickers and exploiters. Without education about trafficking awareness, more individuals could fall victim to trafficking. For Our Mother’s wants to be a voice in the community to not only provide education about trafficking awareness but also to provide a safe space for these teens.

What do you see happening within this movement if you decided to walk away? Where do you see these women?Continued trauma and non ending cycle of exploitation and abuse. Increased search of identity in youth and increased cases of CSEC and trafficking due to the lack of prevention awareness.

Where can I make a donation? What will monetary donations go toward?Please review our Donation page for ways to give a donation. Monetary donations are being used to fund the organization’s contributions to support the effort to end human trafficking. You may also support by sponsoring events or assisting with fundraiser items.

Volunteer and support anti-trafficking efforts in your community Be well informed and use your social media platforms to raise awareness about human trafficking, using the following hashtags: #endtrafficking, #freedomfirst.

What type of wax is used in the candle?We use 100% Coconut-Soy Wax Blend.

Should I trim the wick before burning the candle?Yes, once your candle has cooled down, please trim your wick to about a ¼”. Cotton Wicks burn best with frequent attention to keeping your wick to the right length.

Are your candles vegan and cruelty free?Yes, both our wax and fragrance oils are vegan and we do not test our products on animals.

What happens if I spill my candle?Due to the texture of the wax, the candles are easy to clean up if spilled on a hard surface, simply use soap and water to clean.

What is frosting?Please note, our candles are made with natural coconut soy wax blend. Soy wax is natural. Frosting, discoloration, and rough tops are completely normal and do not affect the quality nor the performance of the candle.

What are the safety measure I need to keep in mind ?Do not leave candles burning unattended. Keep candles out of the reach of small children and pets. Always burn on a heat resistant surface. Do not touch or move candle with visible (liquid) hot wax. Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, and ceiling fans to minimize smoking or a wick blowing out. Make sure candle is completely extinguished and the wick no longer glows before leaving the room. Keep your candle out of direct sunlight. Never burn your candle more than 4 hours at a time.
