Peaceful Candle and Flowers

  • What’s the legacy you’re attempting to fight for?
The legacy F.O.M is fighting for is self identity and breaking generational chains. The cycle of sexual trauma, bondage, and exploitation will end with this generation.
  • What are some things happening in this world concerning the people you want to help?
Due to lack of prevention awareness, more young women/men are falling victim to the dark world of human trafficking. More youth in this time are questioning their identity which causes them to be vulnerable, want attention and acceptance from their peers and others.
  • What do you believe the women within “For Our Mothers” deserve to know?
They are fearfully and wonderfully made. They are empowered individuals who are were made for a purpose to complete in life. For Our Mothers will be vessel to help assist with healing and restoration process as well as encourage and motivate teens to understand who they are, what their purpose is in life, and how their purpose can help others.
  • Why are you feeling a strong need to stand now?
Our society is currently in a climate where teenagers are experiencing increased bullying, identity issues, and homelessness. All of these factors makes individuals more vulnerable to traffickers and exploiters. Without education about trafficking awareness, more individuals could fall victim to trafficking. For Our Mother’s wants to be a voice in the community to not only provide education about trafficking awareness but also to provide a safe space for these teens.
  • What do you see happening within this movement if you decided to walk away? Where do you see these women?
Continued trauma and non ending cycle of exploitation and abuse. Increased search of identity in youth and increased cases of CSEC and trafficking due to the lack of prevention awareness.
